This smoothie recipe tastes great with our without rum. A mildly sweet creamy treat, the coconut milk provides medium chain triglycerides or MCT oil to protect your heart and provide sustained energy for working out or just living. Although MCT oil is healthier than other oils, it is still fat, which is high in calories. Think of this smoothie recipe as a treat and know that your body is able to burn most of the fat for energy rather than storing it in adipose tissue below the skin. Fuel your workouts of mind, body and/or soul with the banana coconut cream smoothie!

Ingredients: 
1 banana
1 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup orange juice
1 cup ice cubes
Optional: 2 oz white rum
Instructions: 
  1. Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth.
