Black Cherry Smoothie Recipe

Inspired by the black cherry smoothie served at Panera Bread, this smoothie recipe will satisfy your sweet tooth while providing an intense antioxidant kick. Black cherries are just common sweet cherries differentiated from tart cherries by their darker color. They are usually a deep dark red rather than actual black. Cherries contain the hormone melatonin, which helps regulate sleep but also has been said to have antioxidant properties and contribute to a positive mood. Have an uplifting dessert smoothie while knowing that you are protecting your cells from cancer. Make sure to remove the pits from the cherries prior to blending.
Ingredients:
1 cup black cherries
1 cup fat free vanilla frozen yogurt
3/4 cup apple juice
Instructions:
