I don't want to use the protein stuff so what could I use instead?

Hi Ashley, the protein powder is optional and is just to help round out the macronutrient proflie of the smoothie. You can make the recipe without it and it will still taste great. Alternatively if you still want to get some additional protein you can add 1-2 tablespoons of almond or peanut butter or even chia seeds.

can you add yogurt?

I found adding low-fat vanilla was delish.

Yes, you can. Fat-free vanilla yoghurt or fat-free greek style yoghurt are potential ingredients to achieve weight loss in a matter of weeks. You may choose to add frozen yoghurt to make it a cool consistency or use fresh yoghurt to get a fresh, delicious, creamy smoothie. Either way it is very delicious and you may substitute it with full-fat milk to achieve more further weight-loss results.

Yes but it makes it thicker

Hi Jamie, yes you can add any flavor of yogurt you like, and this will typically act as a substitute for the liquid, so you will then use less soy milk. We recommend plain greek yogurt.

Is there anything you can do to make it thicker? I find it a tad bit runny, but delicious nontheless. It's great for the family.

Hi Montana, Yes in order to help make it thicker you can either decrease the amount of soy milk you use or try substituting part of the soy milk with yogurt like was previously mentioned.

I usually add more ice to get a better consistency, perhaps even use powdered non-dairy creamer instead of soy milk. Just add hot water if the smoothie sticks while blending!

I play soccer and I am getting in shape is this a healthy smoothie to have?

Hi Lacey, yes the banana would add important electrolytes post workout/training along with protein for muscle recovery. This would be a healthy recipe to have.

Wow, it tastes amazing and when you add some yogurt to it as well it creates so much more flavour and texture!!!

How do you find frozen bananas?

Hi Deb, what we recommend is to buy them in bulk and unripe and then peel them and put them into a plastic bag in the freezer.
