Our fiesta refresher smoothie recipe is festive enough for a fiesta! Lycopene from tomatoes will provide your guests with lower blood pressure and a reduced risk of some cancers. How’s that for a party favor? Cilantro is one of nature’s multivitamin and mineral sources. It is a very good source of vitamin E, which is difficult to get enough of in the diet. All of the required vitamin A for the day and more is provided by the carrot. To increase festivities note the optional ingredients of spicy hot sauce and/or vodka for a homemade refreshing cocktail. Don’t forget the piñata.

Ingredients:
1 cucumber, peeled and chopped into large chunks
1 celery stalk, chopped
1 large carrot, chopped
2 small tomatoes
¼ cup fresh cilantro leaves
2 tsp onion chopped
1 cup ice cubes
Optional: a splash of hot sauce and/or 1 tsp black pepper
Optional: 2 oz vodka for a festive bloody mary
Instructions:
  1. Add all ingredients to the blender in the order of items listed.
