Guava Fruit Smoothie Recipe

A mildly sweet treat, this smoothie recipe will satisfy your hunger due to its high fiber content while supplying only 150 calories. Make sure to use a high quality blender that will easily pulverize the guava seeds. Guava seeds are an excellent source of insoluble fiber while apples are an excellent source of soluble fiber. Both types of fiber keep your digestive tract healthy by increasing bulk, but soluble fiber has the added benefit of surrounding cholesterol molecules and removing them from the body. This recipe provides almost half of the Institute of Medicine’s recommended fiber for the day.
Ingredients:
1 apple
1 orange, peeled
2 guava fruits
1 cup ice cubes
Instructions:
