Spinach and kale are both super green vegetables that contain between them just about every identified vitamin and mineral, including large amounts of vitamin K, the vitamin responsible for proper clotting of the blood when the skin is injured. Fresh ground flax seeds provide a delicious nutty flavor that compliments the flavor of the greens, while also providing ALA, a precursor to omega-3 fatty acid, which keep blood flowing smoothly by reducing triglycerides. So, your entire circulatory system will benefit from this tasty green smoothie recipe. Apples and vanilla yogurt always add sweetness and texture to smoothie recipes, and this one is no exception.

Loved this smoothie..... But I ramped it up with a few pieces of frozen peaches, mango, and strawberry. Completely sweetened it up and ramped it up!! Thanks for this...I'm a smoothie newbie.
