The best thing about this recipe is the simplicity and the need for just one type of fruit. Our strawberry smoothie recipe is a healthy alternative to something like a McDonald's strawberry shake. Our version doesn't have added sugar and is balanced with both natural sugar (fructose) and added protein.
- Add all ingredients to blender in order of the listed ingredients.
- Blend until perfect consistency is achieved.
- As an alternative to vanilla protein powder you may substitute chocolate or strawberry flavors as well. All combinations will taste quite pleasing.
- Optionally you can blend all the ingredients until a uniform consistency is achieved and then add in two small strawberries and let it blend for a few seconds. This will leave a few delicious chunks in there which makes it more fun to eat.
